NAMPA, Idaho: Runners, walkers and families will gather at Orah Brandt Park on Saturday, October 3, for the Laps for Literacy 5K Library Fun Run, a community fundraiser supporting the Nampa Public Library.
The event is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. at Orah Brandt Park, 7999 Cherry Lane. The Nampa Library Foundation is organizing the event, with proceeds going toward the library’s efforts to expand access, programming and innovation.
A 5K With a Library Mission
The event combines a traditional 5K with a family-focused community gathering. Organizers are encouraging residents to come out for a morning of fitness while supporting the Nampa Public Library.

Registration includes a commemorative event shirt. Adult registration was listed at $35 during the early-bird period and $40 after September 23 or at the event. Registration for children under 12 is listed at $15.
Participants can pick up their race bibs and shirts at the library beginning October 1 or at Orah Brandt Park on race day. The event listing runs from 9 a.m. to noon on October 3.

Orah Brandt Park is a 30-acre destination park in Nampa with a soccer field, baseball and softball field, basketball court, pickleball courts, a nine-hole disc golf course, fitness trail, playground and other recreational amenities.
