RUSH Returns to Detroit for a Second Little Caesars Arena ShowRUSH is bringing its long awaited Fifty Something Tour back to Detroit on Friday, August 28, giving fans another chance to see Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson together onstage at Little Caesars Arena. The show is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on August 28, according to the band’s official tour calendar and Ticketmaster. It is the second Detroit date on the current tour, following the band’s August 26 performance at the same venue. The additional Detroit date was added after strong demand for the tour, making the two night run a notable stop on RUSH’s 2026 comeback. Why the Fifty Something Tour Matters The 2026 tour represents RUSH’s first major live outing in 11 years. The band is using the tour to celebrate more than five decades of music while honoring the legacy of longtime drummer and lyricist Neil Peart. Lee and guitarist Alex Lifeson are leading the current lineup. German drummer Anika Nilles is performing with the band on the tour, taking on the demanding drum parts that became closely associated with Peart during RUSH’s classic era. Nilles’ role has become one of the most closely watched parts of the comeback. She made her live debut with RUSH when the Fifty Something Tour opened in Los Angeles in June, where the band’s performances received strong attention from longtime fans. For fans who could not get tickets to the first Detroit show, the second night provides another opportunity to see the reunion in person. Ticketmaster currently lists an official RUSH meet and greet package featuring Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson. The package includes a professional photo opportunity, an autograph component and a behind the scenes production experience, subject to the package’s terms and availability. Ticketmaster also lists a Budweiser Biergarten pre-show party as an available add-on for the Detroit concert. RUSH’s Detroit Return Has a Strong Legacy Angle The Detroit show comes during a particularly active period for RUSH. The band has already taken the Fifty Something Tour across major North American markets, while additional 2026 dates continue through the fall. The tour is also scheduled to continue internationally in 2027. At the center of the tour is the relationship between Lee and Lifeson, whose partnership helped define RUSH for generations of rock fans. Their return also carries an emotional connection to Peart, whose influence remains a major part of the band’s identity. Lee has recently spoken about Peart’s legacy while discussing the current tour.
