Los Angeles Dodgers fans will have another place to rally behind the team on Tuesday, October 6, as The Regent Theater in Downtown Los Angeles hosts a Game 3 watch party for the National League Division Series.
The event is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. at the historic venue on South Main Street, giving fans a large-screen alternative to watching the postseason action at home. The theater is promoting the gathering as part of its Dodgers playoff watch party series.
A Big-Screen Dodgers Experience in Downtown LA
The Regent Theater plans to turn the venue into a full Dodgers fan gathering, featuring a massive LED video wall along with professional sound and lighting.
A DJ will also be part of the event, while fans can expect a lively theater atmosphere as they follow the Dodgers through another postseason game. The venue is encouraging attendees to wear their Dodgers gear and participate in the playoff atmosphere.
Dodgers Continue Their October Run
Game 3 comes during the Dodgers’ National League Division Series campaign, putting added attention on every postseason matchup.
The Dodgers entered the NLDS after opening the postseason with a 5-3 victory over the Atlanta Braves in Game 1 at Dodger Stadium. The opener drew more than 50,000 fans despite temperatures reaching 100 degrees in Los Angeles.
The series has given Los Angeles another reason to turn October into a citywide baseball celebration, with fans following the Dodgers both inside the ballpark and at watch parties across the region.
The Regent Brings the Playoff Crowd Together
The Regent Theater, located at 448 S. Main St. in Downtown Los Angeles, is primarily known as a live music venue. Its decision to host Dodgers playoff watch parties gives the historic theater another role during one of the busiest periods on the Los Angeles sports calendar.
The venue describes its Dodgers watch party series as a place where fans can experience playoff baseball with a large crowd, big-screen presentation and a full entertainment setup.
Free RSVP Available for Fans
The October 6 event is listed as a free RSVP event, with doors scheduled for 4 p.m. Event information also lists the watch party as an all-ages gathering.
The Regent has also promoted prizes and food and drink options as part of the experience, adding more of a game-day feel to the downtown event.
A Different Way to Watch October Baseball
For Dodgers fans who want more energy than a typical living-room viewing, the Regent watch party offers a theater-sized setting for Game 3.
With the Dodgers deep in the postseason and Los Angeles fans once again embracing October baseball, the Downtown LA event gives supporters another opportunity to gather, watch every inning together and turn a playoff game into a citywide social occasion.
