San Francisco is getting a massive new attraction built around one of America’s most recognizable childhood toys.
A fan-created Brick Exhibition featuring more than 1 million LEGO bricks opens Saturday, Oct. 10, at Stonestown Galleria. The limited-run experience brings large-scale brick creations, famous landmarks, fictional worlds and hands-on building activities under one roof.
The exhibition is designed as a walk-through experience with five major areas, giving visitors a chance to move from detailed architectural models to pop culture-inspired builds and interactive displays.
More Than 1 Million Bricks Go on Display
The San Francisco exhibition features an enormous collection of brick-built artwork created by fan builders and artists.
Visitors can explore recreations of famous landmarks, including the Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty, Notre Dame and Neuschwanstein Castle. The exhibition also features a large collection of skyscrapers and towers assembled at the same scale.
One section, called Towers of Scale, showcases about 50 skyscrapers and towers from around the world, creating a miniature cityscape made entirely from bricks.
The sheer size of the collection is expected to make the exhibition particularly appealing to families, collectors and longtime brick-building fans.
Five Different Worlds Fill the Exhibition
The Brick Exhibition is divided into five themed areas, each offering a different type of brick-built display.
The Brick Wonders of the World section focuses on recognizable landmarks and architecture. Another area, the Fairy Tale Collection, features builds inspired by Disney properties including Encanto, The Little Mermaid, Cinderella and Peter Pan.
The Galaxy of Bricks takes visitors into a Star Wars-inspired collection featuring builds such as Darth Vader’s castle, the Death Star, Jawas and Grogu.
There is also a Play Zone, where visitors can move beyond simply looking at the displays and build their own creations using loose bricks. The area also includes displays inspired by popular games and characters.
The Exhibition Is Not an Official LEGO Event
Despite its extensive use of LEGO bricks, the San Francisco exhibition is not operated by the LEGO Group.
Organizers describe it as a fan exhibition, bringing together work from brick artists and enthusiasts rather than presenting an official LEGO corporate attraction.
That distinction gives the event a more community-driven feel, with the focus placed on what independent builders can create with the familiar building system.
Stonestown Galleria Hosts the San Francisco Experience
The exhibition is taking over space inside Stonestown Galleria, located at 3251 20th Ave. in San Francisco.
Stonestown’s own event calendar lists the Brick Exhibition as an Oct. 10 attraction at the mall.
The opening-day listing shows visitors can begin experiencing the exhibition during daytime hours, with advance reservations required.
Ticket prices vary by day, with discounts available for children, students, seniors and families. Current listings show adult admission starting at different prices depending on the day of the week.
A Pop Culture Attraction for Kids and Adults
The exhibition is designed to reach well beyond young children.
Architecture fans can spend time examining the detailed city models, while Disney and Star Wars fans have dedicated sections filled with recognizable scenes and characters.
Collectors can also browse an on-site retail area featuring collector editions, out-of-print kits and other hard-to-find brick sets.
That mix gives the exhibition several potential audiences, from families looking for a weekend activity to adult collectors who grew up building brick sets.
Why the San Francisco Exhibition Stands Out
Large brick displays are not unusual in the United States, but the San Francisco exhibition is notable for combining architectural models, fantasy scenes, pop culture creations and interactive building in one walk-through attraction.
The more than 1 million bricks also give the event an easy visual hook for social media and local coverage without relying on a major celebrity or blockbuster release.
For San Francisco families, the exhibition offers an indoor fall activity where visitors can spend time exploring detailed creations before stepping into the hands-on building area.
The Exhibition Opens October 10
The Brick Exhibition begins welcoming visitors at Stonestown Galleria on Oct. 10, 2026.
The current local event listing describes the San Francisco run as continuing through Nov. 15, while other ticketing information lists additional dates. Visitors should check the current session calendar before making plans because hours and ticket availability can vary.
With more than a million bricks, towering miniature skylines and interactive building areas, the exhibition gives San Francisco a colorful new attraction for the fall season.
