Los Angeles is getting an unusual mix of contemporary art, live music and community activities as artist Lauren Halsey takes over the Hollywood Bowl for a one-night event featuring Erykah Badu and The Alchemist.
Halsey’s emajendat is scheduled for Tuesday, September 29, turning the iconic Los Angeles venue into an immersive art and music experience. The event will feature a custom technicolor stage, interactive activities and performances from several major names in music.

Anderson .Paak will appear as DJ Pee .Wee, while Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea is also scheduled to perform. The Charles Gaines Collective will join Los Angeles jazz group Black Nile and Devin Daniels as part of the evening’s musical programming.
The combination gives the event a broad musical range, moving between R&B, hip-hop, jazz and experimental performance.
