DALLAS, Texas | Topgolf is expanding beyond golf with a major arcade rollout that will bring new games and entertainment experiences to 94 locations across the United States.
The company announced Tuesday, Sept. 1, that it has partnered with Family Entertainment Group, an arcade and attractions operator, to expand its entertainment lineup across nearly 100 Topgolf venues.
The phased rollout began earlier this year and is scheduled to continue through December, giving customers more ways to play before, during or after a round of golf.
Topgolf Is Expanding Beyond the Golf Bays
The new partnership is designed to make Topgolf more than a destination for hitting golf balls.
The company says each participating location will receive an entertainment lineup tailored to its local market and customer base. Offerings can include arcade games, redemption games and interactive experiences.
One of the additions is augmented darts, which is designed for social play in bar and lounge areas.
The approach means customers at different Topgolf locations may encounter different combinations of games rather than seeing an identical arcade setup at every venue.
94 Locations Are Set for the Rollout
The expansion will reach approximately 94 Topgolf venues nationwide.
The company began testing the concept at seven locations in May. The pilot included Topgolf venues in Dallas, Fort Worth, The Colony and Grand Prairie, Texas, along with locations in Orlando, Lake Mary and Buford, Georgia.
Topgolf said customer response to the pilot was strong, helping pave the way for the larger rollout.
The installations are being introduced in phases, with the final locations expected to come online by December.
What Games Will Be Available?
The arcade lineup will vary by location, but Topgolf and Family Entertainment Group have identified a broad mix of games for participating venues.
The lineup can include sports games such as basketball, football and hockey, along with air hockey, racing games, driving simulators and interactive attractions.
Family-oriented redemption games will also be part of the mix.
Some locations can feature games such as Daytona, Cruis’n Blast, Fast & Furious, Pop-A-Shot Basketball, Air Hockey and Hyper Pitch. Other attractions include Jurassic Park Environmental, Angry Birds Boom and several crane and prize games.
The selection is intended to give customers options beyond the golf bays while keeping the games social and easy to play.
A New Kind of Eatertainment Experience
The expansion places Topgolf more directly in the growing American “eatertainment” market, where restaurants and entertainment venues combine food, drinks, games and social activities.
Topgolf already combines golf, dining, sports viewing and technology at its venues. Adding arcades gives customers another reason to spend time at the facility even when they are not playing golf.
Topgolf CEO David McKillips said the goal is to give guests more opportunities to play and connect with family and friends.
Family Entertainment Group Brings Arcade Expertise
Family Entertainment Group, based in Itasca, Illinois, specializes in arcade and attraction management and works with entertainment destinations across North America.
The company has more than two decades of experience developing entertainment attractions for family entertainment centers, resorts, casinos, water parks and other hospitality destinations.
For Topgolf, the partnership provides an established operator to help select, install and manage the new entertainment experiences.
Each Location Will Have Its Own Mix
Topgolf says the new arcade strategy will not follow a one-size-fits-all model.
Instead, entertainment selections will be based on each venue’s customer demographics and local market.
That could mean one Topgolf location emphasizes family-friendly arcade games while another puts more emphasis on social games and bar-area attractions.
The company says the lineup will also continue to evolve after installation.
Topgolf Continues to Broaden Its Entertainment Strategy
The arcade rollout is the latest move in Topgolf’s effort to expand its identity as a broader sports and entertainment destination.
The company operates more than 100 venues worldwide and has increasingly incorporated technology, food, sports viewing and other entertainment options into its locations.
The addition of arcades could help Topgolf appeal to customers who are not regular golfers, including families, groups of friends and people looking for an entertainment night out.
The Rollout Continues Through December
The nationwide expansion is already underway, with new entertainment installations being added throughout 2026.
Topgolf expects the rollout across the 94 participating U.S. venues to be completed by December.
For customers, the change means a trip to Topgolf could soon include considerably more than a few swings at the driving range.
With golf bays, food, drinks, sports viewing and arcade games under one roof, Topgolf is positioning its venues as all-day entertainment destinations rather than places built around golf alone.
