Puyallup, Washington, will close out its summer Concerts in the Park series with a free performance from Heart by Heart on Thursday, August 27, giving local music fans a chance to hear classic Heart songs performed by musicians with direct ties to the legendary rock band.
The concert is scheduled for 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Pioneer Park Rotary Bandstand. The city lists the event as free and open to the public.
Founding Members of Heart Lead the Performance
Heart by Heart features Steve Fossen, an original founding member and bassist of Heart, along with Michael Derosier, who played drums with Heart during the recording of the band’s debut album, “Dreamboat Annie.”
The group focuses on performing the music associated with Heart’s classic era. Fossen and Derosier were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame alongside the original Heart lineup in 2013.

Organizers are also accepting nonperishable food and hygiene items at the concerts for donation to the Puyallup Food Bank.
