Manhattan will honor one of America’s most recognizable entertainers with Dolly Parton Appreciation Day on Friday, September 25, 2026.
Manhattan Borough President Brad Hoylman-Sigal officially proclaimed the date in recognition of Parton’s contributions to country music, entertainment, literacy and community service. The date also carries a familiar connection to Parton’s career because September 25 can be read as 9/25, a nod to her famous “9 to 5” song and movie.
A Tribute to an American Music Icon
