Los Angeles is getting a larger-than-life sendoff to the 2026 regular season.
The Los Angeles Dodgers will turn their final regular-season home game into a Godzilla-themed celebration on Thursday, September 24, when they host the San Diego Padres at Dodger Stadium.
The special event, called Godzilla Minus Zero Night, is being presented in partnership with TOHO and will combine Major League Baseball, Hollywood-style spectacle and one of Japan’s most recognizable pop culture characters.
Godzilla Takes Over Dodger Stadium
The Dodgers’ September 24 game is scheduled for a 7:10 p.m. first pitch, marking the final regular-season game at the ballpark in 2026.
The first 40,000 fans through the gates will receive a special Godzilla Minus Zero bobblehead, with one giveaway available per person with a valid ticket while supplies last.
The giveaway adds another collectible to a Dodgers promotional calendar that has featured a long list of special-edition items throughout the season.
But the bobblehead will not be the only attraction.
A 2,500-Drone Godzilla Show Will Close the Night
After the game, fans will get an aerial finale featuring 2,500 drones.

‘Godzilla Minus Zero’ Connects Baseball and Movies
The Dodgers’ Godzilla celebration is also designed to build excitement for Godzilla Minus Zero, the upcoming feature from TOHO.
The movie is written and directed by Takashi Yamazaki and follows the story established in Godzilla Minus One. The new film is scheduled to arrive in theaters nationwide on November 6.
That makes the Dodgers event an unusual crossover between America’s pastime and one of the biggest monster franchises in movie history.
A Special First Pitch Before the Game
The September 24 celebration will also feature a familiar face from the Godzilla franchise.
Japanese actor Ryunosuke Kamiki, who starred in Godzilla Minus One, is scheduled to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Dodgers and Padres take the field.
