Latin Music Month Conference Brings AI and Music Industry Leaders to Los Angeles

Los Angeles is set to become a meeting point for artists, music executives and creators as the 2026 Latin Music Month Conference gets underway September 30 at Cal State LA.

The two-day conference at the Luckman Fine Arts Complex will bring together performers and music-industry professionals for panels, live showcases, masterclasses, networking sessions and the LMM Awards.

Technology and artificial intelligence will have a prominent place in this year’s programming, giving the event a timely look at how new tools are changing the way music is created and developed.

AI Takes a Spot in the Music Conversation

One of the featured September 30 sessions is titled “AI, A&R, and the Art of Making Music.”

The panel is part of a broader technology-focused program examining how the music business is changing as new digital tools become part of the creative process.

The conference is also featuring a session called “Ctrl + Alt + Create: A Fresh Look at How Technology Is Transforming the Art of Making Music,” according to Cal State LA’s event listing.

Together, the sessions put technology alongside the traditional parts of the music business, including artist development, songwriting, management and promotion.

Chiquis Among Featured Participants

Chiquis is among the artists confirmed to participate in the 2026 conference.

The Grammy and Latin Grammy-winning artist is scheduled to appear on the September 30 panel “Music as Medicine: The Rise of Conscious & Healing Sounds,” alongside Alisun, Gustavo Galindo and Paulina Arreola Barragán of SONA.

The panel is part of a larger program exploring the relationship between music, audiences and emotional connection.

Two Days of Music, Business and Live Performances

The conference begins Wednesday, September 30, with check-in at 10:30 a.m. and theater doors opening at 11 a.m.

The first day includes industry panels, performances, fireside chats, juried artist showcases and award presentations.

Performers scheduled throughout the conference include Silvi, Wonderfox, Qiensave?, Camilo Sanchez, Tapy Quintero and Ilusion Eterno, among others.

The second day continues October 1 with additional panels covering artist development, marketing, touring and music financing.

The Creator Economy Gets Its Turn

The conference is also taking a closer look at how artists build careers in an era dominated by social platforms and fast-moving online trends.

A panel titled “Built, Not Viral: What Artist Development Looks Like Today” is scheduled for October 1.

Another session, “Marketing the Modern Hit: What Actually Moves the Needle?” will bring together professionals from TikTok, The Orchard and music marketing to discuss how today’s artists and releases reach audiences.

The programming gives the conference a strong connection to the creator economy while keeping the focus on the business behind music careers.

Live Showcases Add a Concert Feel

The event is not limited to conference panels.

Artists will perform throughout both days, while LMM Auditions will give selected performers an opportunity to take the stage during juried showcases presented by Fender and PreSonus.

The showcase lineup includes Ilusion Eterno, Tapy Quintero, Silvi, Wonderfox, Qiensave?, Camilo Sanchez, Papagodi, Ivanna and Susana Ballesteros.

Los Angeles Event Brings Industry Pros Together

The conference is designed to connect emerging talent with executives, creators and other professionals working across the music business.

Participants include representatives from companies and organizations such as TikTok, CAA, The Orchard, peermusic, City National Bank and Warner Music Latina.

The program also includes discussions about music law, financing, touring, artist management, public relations and marketing.
