Fans of KPop Demon Hunters have a new reason to make plans this fall as Netflix brings the animated hit into the real world with a new interactive experience at Netflix House.
Starting September 29, Netflix members can get early access to tickets for KPop Demon Hunters: The Immersive Experience, ahead of the general public ticket sale on October 1. Mastercard credit cardholders received an earlier presale opportunity beginning September 22.
The ticketed attraction is set to open at Netflix House Dallas on November 12 and Netflix House Philadelphia on November 20.
Fans Can Step Into the World of HUNTR/X
The new attraction is designed to put visitors inside the world of Rumi, Mira and Zoey, the members of HUNTR/X.
Instead of simply watching the story on a screen, guests will take part in an interactive adventure featuring music, challenges and scenes inspired by the movie.
Netflix says visitors will begin backstage with HUNTR/X before joining the group on a mission tied to the supernatural threats in the story. The experience includes interactive, music-driven challenges that lead toward a final showdown involving Gwi-Ma and the Honmoon.
Music Plays a Big Role in the Experience
Music is one of the biggest parts of the attraction.
Fans will be able to participate in song moments inspired by the movie, including “How It’s Done.” The experience also features a 3D finale built around “Golden,” giving visitors another chance to experience the soundtrack in a physical setting.
The attraction also takes guests through settings inspired by the film, including Myeongdong Plaza, subway locations, rooftops and scenes set above Seoul.
Derpy Tiger Is Part of the Experience
The attraction also brings some of the movie’s memorable characters into the physical experience.
Visitors can encounter character moments throughout the attraction, with Netflix highlighting Derpy Tiger as part of the experience. The journey ends with a post-show celebration that includes a meet-and-greet moment with the character.
Netflix House locations will also offer KPop Demon Hunters themed photo opportunities, merchandise, food and drinks connected to the movie.
When Does KPop Demon Hunters Open?
The experience will launch on two U.S. dates.
Dallas: November 12 at Netflix House Dallas inside Galleria Dallas.
Philadelphia: November 20 at Netflix House Philadelphia at King of Prussia Mall.
Both locations are part of Netflix House, the company’s permanent entertainment venues where fans can participate in ticketed experiences, games, food and shopping based on Netflix titles.
How Much Do Tickets Cost?
General admission tickets start at $39, while children’s tickets for ages 3 through 12 start at $34, according to Netflix.
A VIP option is also available. VIP pricing starts at $89 Monday through Thursday and $99 Friday through Sunday.
The VIP package includes priority entry, access to the Netflix House VIP Lounge for the day, photo opportunities, snacks and nonalcoholic refreshments, plus an exclusive themed gift while supplies last.
Prices can vary depending on the date, time and demand.
Who Can Attend?
The experience is listed as all ages and takes approximately one hour.
Netflix also notes that the attraction includes flashing or strobe lights, fog and haze effects, and loud noises. Wheelchair accessibility accommodations are available.
Netflix Turns a Hit Movie Into a Real-World Experience
The attraction represents another step in Netflix’s push to turn popular titles into physical entertainment experiences.
Netflix House already features attractions based on several of its major shows and movies. The venues combine immersive activities with food, merchandise and other entertainment, giving fans a way to spend time inside worlds they normally experience through a screen.
For KPop Demon Hunters fans, the new experience takes that idea a step further by combining the movie’s characters, music and supernatural storyline into a live, interactive outing.
General Ticket Sales Begin October 1
Netflix members get their presale opportunity on September 29, while general public ticket sales begin October 1.
With openings scheduled for November in both Dallas and the Philadelphia area, fans who want to attend can choose between the two Netflix House locations when planning their visit.
For fans who have spent the past year singing along with HUNTR/X, the new attraction offers a chance to leave the couch behind and become part of the story themselves.
