The creative director of pretty little thing, Molly-Mae Hague, earns around thirteen times more than the average salary in the UK, according to the Telegraph. Her tone-deaf remarks about poverty on a popular television programme sparked outrage. Over the summer, she signed a seven-figure deal with the brand. This month, she signed another massive contract with beauty company Beauty Works for even more money.
While it’s hard to fathom how anyone could pay that much for a magazine or an ad, Molly-Mae Hague, who’s made over £2 million in recent years, is paid an eye-watering 400k a month by Pretty Little Thing, the company that she created. The brand is owned by the Boohoo group.
In response to the backlash, the actress has signed a seven-figure contract with beauty firm Beauty Works. The deal will last until winter 2022, and will be worth a reported £600k. She also developed a blonde hair extension colour that quickly became the best-selling blonde shade at Beauty Works. However, there’s a catch.
While Hague has over 1.5 million subscribers to her YouTube channel, she’s spent the last few months trying to make herself more natural, getting rid of fillers, and even composite bonding on her teeth. Immediately after the show, Molly was swamped with offers and signed a contract with a makeup brand. This contract is also her first major collaboration with a cosmetic company, and her management has also secured a deal with a major cosmetics company.
On Thursday, she announced that she had been diagnosed with endometriosis, which is a disease that affects women’s reproductive organs. The two celebrities posed for pictures in black Nike tracksuits with neon trainers. Her silver Dior mini clutch cost her PS1,800, which is a lot for a designer bag.
Having an impressive social media following, Molly-Mae has worked with various brands to increase her net worth. She has partnered with EGO shoes, Starbucks, and tanned counterfeits. Her huge Instagram following has helped her to earn a fortune of £2.4 million, and her monthly earnings are reportedly at least £12,000 a month.
