Love Island is making a triumphant return to television for its first summer series since the coronavirus outbreak. Laura Whitmore, the host of Love Island, has discussed the strict controls that Casa Amor uses to prevent a COVID epidemic.
Since last year’s coronavirus restrictions were lifted, film and TV sets have had to work under them. Love Island is no exception. However, the nature of the dating program means that careful planning has been required to prevent the virus from spreading.
Presenter Whitmore spoke with Richard Arnold at a sunny poolside, before the series’ launch later that evening.
She said, “They are all in one bubble together.”
“The Islanders were there for two weeks before. Majorca will be Love Island.
Whitmore, however, is not allowed to be part of the main bubble. Her job involves passing in and out of the villa.
She stated, “And I’m going to not be in the villa at any time.” All my activities will take place outside of the villa, by the pool, or at the firepit.
“So, we follow the rules that way.”
The Love Island host welcomed their first child together this year. She is a mother to Iain Stirling, who also hosts the show.
A new change is being made for 2021. Show bosses will offer an upgraded support package to contestants. This follows previous complaints about aftercare and the tragic deaths of past stars like Sophie Gradon and Mike Thalassitis.
Participants will receive 14 months of follow-up, including at least eight therapy sessions, financial advice, and social media training, including how to deal with trolls.
Whitmore stated that “Love Island was founded by people who didn’t realize how successful it would be. It had a cult following.”
“As soon a product becomes a commercial success, it becomes difficult. Everyone has an opinion.
“That’s one of the things producers have been working on.”

She said, “Nobody can go on that show without going through so much interview process and making sure everyone is okay.” We take care of the people we love.
