Stamos has a long association with the Beach Boys. He was featured in the 1988 video for “Kokomo” and has performed previously with the Beach Boys, including on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars (2010) and twice on PBS’s A Capitol Fourth special (2012).

On July 30, Beach Boys will release a brand new box set called Feel Flows — Sunflower and Surf’s Up Sessions 1969-1971. Rolling Stone revealed that the collection is “full of revelations” and tells the story of Beach Boys’ rebirth through five CDs. The set includes previously unheard gems of the Bellagio Road era.

Al Jardine, Bruce Johnston, and Mike Love from Beach Boys re-recorded the 1970 hit “Add Some Music to Your Day” earlier this year. It was the first single released on California Music Presents Add Some Music in April.

In February Beach Boys sold their controlling interest in their intellectual properties to an unknown company headed by Irving Azoff. They also consider a reunion tour for their 60th anniversary. However, it is still in the discussion phase.
