Jennifer Garner is the mother of Violet, 15, and Seraphina (12 years old), as well as Sam (9 years old).
Jennifer Garner is getting into the back-to-school spirit.
The 13 Going on 30 actress gave an update to her Instagram followers on Wednesday about her three children returning to school. She revealed that Violet, 15, and Seraphina (12) are both vaccinated before they return to school. Garner also has a 9-year-old son, Sam.
“The school year begins in dribs, drabs. But today is the real deal for me and my family — it’s back. 3/3 masked, 2/3% vaxxed (soon 11 and under), each one eager, tentative and bold, vulnerable, and — as far I can tell — smiling underneath the 3-ply,” Garner writes.
She continues, “Thanks to teachers, administrators, and school staff — for being at the receiving end a year and half of feelings (kids and parents’) — loud and quiet, deep, and loud.” Thank you science for taking us this far, and bringing us closer to freedom and health. We are grateful for the support of moms and your gallows humor, and for the sun that always rises, regardless of what.
She concludes her post by saying, “And please God, hold us in your palms.”
Garner shares her children with Ben Affleck and has spoken out previously about the importance vaccinations. She even encouraged the vaccine in Charleston, West Virginia, in May, alongside First Lady Jill Biden.

They visited a local high school and visited a vaccination site. There they discussed ways to get more people vaccinated.
Garner, who was at the school, said that she was excited to have her own children vaccinated. She also encouraged other mothers to persevere.
Garner stated that “the most important thing we could do is get rid of this virus,” at the time. “And to do that, we must get everyone with vaccine hesitancy in these chairs.”
