Social media has become an outlet for users to share small snippets of their lives. However, some have been criticised for posting too often. Jaclyn Gibson is a social media influencer with over 200k fans of Instagram and more than 6000 followers on TikTok and was recently blasted after she uploaded the video that showed her husband crying on her Instagram and TikTok accounts.
The video, uploaded on the account of Gibson on TikTok as well as Instagram profiles the her spouse Seth washing his face sitting in their backyard.
“Sometimes men don’t know how to healthily deal with their emotions due to society’s expectations. Let’s encourage them to feel and release,” Gibson wrote in her TikTok caption.
The video received nearly five million viewers on TikTok and certain users have dusted the original clip where they wondered why she was able to film an apparently private moment.
“If someone posted this of me I’d do the little lad dance on their grave,” one caption from the duet read.
Another TikTok user recorded an duet and wrote, “If I saw my wife crying outside in the backyard because she wasn’t comfortable crying in front of me, I think the first thing I would do would be to film it and put it on TikTok.”
In the first TikTok film, lot of users commented that not everything should be posted online.
“Let’s also record our partners at their most vulnerable. It builds trust and makes them realize they are safe to express their feelings,” an sarcastic tweet was read.

Although Gibson was criticized on the social media platform Gibson received some praise in the Instagram post from people who said they were in agreement with her views.
“Love this and so beautifully said,” an Instagram user wrote.
Another person shared her experiences with her partner and stated that they enjoy spending time to engage in an “vent session.”
