Instagram will soon launch new designs that match current trends.
He explained that “we’re not a photo-sharing platform or square-shaped photos” in an Instagram video.
Instagram even offers the option to view videos in full-screen mode on its timeline page.
The video will also include impressions from accounts they don’t follow. Similar to the Tiktok video.
Mosseri explained that they will also be trying to show more videos. In the next months, you’ll see us experimenting and doing things on the service.
He said that there is a serious competition currently taking place. Mosseri stated that he was interested in being a part of the Snapchat and TikTok success stories.
Instagram has made several feature updates in recent weeks. In August 2020, Instagram launched Reels, a short video feature that allows users to create content using audio overlays, similar to TikTok.
