According to his parents’ somber Facebook post, a Georgia teenager was killed when lightning struck him on Wednesday afternoon.

Marco Island police reported that William “Walker”, 17-year-old, was struck by lightning while on Tigertail Beach, Marco Island, Fla.

He died peacefully listening to “Soulshine”, a favorite Allman Brothers song, which he had been listening to since he was a child. His parents wrote the following Wednesday night.

“Our hearts are broken, but we trust that through the journey you’ve taken with us, you will find inspiration to get closer to God. They said they continue to be touched by your love, comfort, and prayers.

Bethune was on vacation from Macon and was walking along the beach with his brother, mom, and dad at the time of the lightning strike.
