Community Table
The Food and Wellness Coalition has partnered with the Walmart Foundation to support Witnesses to Hunger, a national participatory action campaign. This program, which began in Philadelphia in 2008, engages women with firsthand experience of poverty and hunger to inform key decision-makers. These women also want to improve labor laws and acknowledge the value of motherhood and childhood. These efforts will be effective if the Food and Wellness Coalition continues to work toward its mission.
