The town of New Orleans now drops all its remaining coronavirus restrictions. It comes slightly more than a year after the town emerged from lockdown into Phase 1, then see-sawed between stages as instances escalated and grew.
Now most capacity limits are falling by the wayside as more New Orleanians get all of their required shots.
“It feels fantastic to have demonstrated– our folks, who have shown civic trust, that has gotten us literally to where we are today,” Mayor LaToya Cantrell informed WWL-TV. “As we’ve moved through this pandemic, we have been on the forefront of this, from being that’hot-spot,’ flattening that curve, beating it back, three times.”
