A man has emerged with bruises and cuts from an automobile that was crushed by a fallen tree during Storm Malik’s powerful winds.
Richard Nutter was getting changed at the back of the vehicle following a cycle when the tree fell over it at Apperley Bridge, Bradford.
He was initially confined to the back seat , but his friend was able to free him out.
In shock by the incident In shock, Mr Nutter stated that the he had been an “very lucky man” to be free from.
“I was sat in between the two back seats, just crouching down and it pushed me further down,” Mr Nutter stated, describing the moment when the tree smashed over him.

“I lay on the floor and my friend pulled me out the back of the van.”
The friend of Mr. Nutter Lee Warriner told : “We’re both very fortunate.”
