Kanye ‘Ye’ West Apologizes For Controversial Comments:

It’s been a rough week for Kanye West.

First, he came under fire for claiming that slavery was a “choice” during an interview with TMZ. Then, he doubled down on those comments in a series of now-deleted tweets.

Now, West is apologizing for his comments. In a new tweet, he writes, “To make something very clear, of course I know that slaves did not choose to be enslaved. My point is for us to have stayed in that position even though the numbers were on our side means that we were mentally enslaved.”

He goes on to say that he is ” sorry for people who felt let down” by his comments and that he is “learning and still growing.”

West has been facing immense backlash since his original comments, with many people calling for a boycott of his music. It remains to be seen how this apology will be received.
