Apple’s next-generation A16 Bionic chipset is expected to power the iPhone 14 series. It also features an Always-on screen and a 48MP main image sensor, which are both expected to be more expensive than the 12MP sensor on the current models. While the A16 Bionic chip is not new to the iPhone line, it is new to the iPhone 14 Pro models. The new A16 Bionic chipset is expected to bring improved performance and battery life.
Apple’s next-gen A16 Bionic chipset
The A16 Bionic chip, which is expected to debut in the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14, is the third-generation version of Apple’s latest mobile processor. The chipset is expected to increase performance by around 11% and boost energy efficiency by around 22% over the current A14 Bionic chip. It will be manufactured by TSMC on its third-generation 5nm process node. It is expected to have higher memory bandwidth than the A15 Bionic.
In addition to the A16 Bionic, the next-generation chip also reportedly will increase the price of iPhones. It has already been rumored that the A15 Bionic chip will be used in non-Pro iPhone 14 units. The A15 Bionic is a 5-nanometer chip that powers all iPhone 13 models.
Higher battery capacity
Apple is expected to reach 100 million shipments of the iPhone 14 family in 2022. To reach that number, Apple has to pay its suppliers more money. The company is reportedly implementing new hardware in the iPhone 14 Pro Max, including the new A16 Bionic processor. However, it is unclear whether the company will raise the price or not. Besides, new components are more expensive, so a price increase in battery capacity is expected to lead to higher ASP.

A recent report claims that Apple will increase the battery capacity of the iPhone 14 series. The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Max will have a bigger battery than their predecessors. According to the Economic Daily News, the battery capacity of the iPhone 14 series will be higher than the iPhone 13. The iPhone 13 offers up to 18 hours of video playback, while the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone14 Max will offer up to 30 hours.
Always-on screen
Apple’s next flagship device is reportedly getting an Always-on display. However, the screen’s refresh rate will not be the same on all models. It will likely drop from 120 Hz to 1 Hz, which means that the phone’s battery won’t drain quickly. The same is true for its cameras, which can also be improved by adding a notch.
Apple has yet to announce the exact price of the iPhone 14. It is expected to increase by $100. The base model is expected to cost $799, which is about Rs 61,000, but it could go as high as $899. Apple is also expected to drop the iPhone mini model, which is currently sold for $699. The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Max will probably cost $899 and $1,199, respectively.
