Change where screenshots are replaced

Windows 10 has brought along with it a brand new feature – the Save Screenshots feature. I am sure many of us have seen the notification area of Windows and wondered what exactly this function is. You will be surprised to know that you can actually change where screenshots are saved in Windows 10. So, let us get started.

To activate this, you will have to first go to the Start Menu (found at the bottom left corner of your desktop). Once you reach there, you will notice a “Start” button, which is an orange one with a gray border around it. You can right click on it and select “Open”. You will then notice a folder called “Screenshots”. The folder itself displays all the images that you have taken with your Windows camera, including the ones which are associated with the currently selected program or task.

You can see in the screenshot list that there is a section named “Screenshots”. You can double click on the “snapshots” folder to open it. There is a button at the bottom of the folder, which allows you to right click and open the “Save As” dialog box. You are now able to save your screenshots in a variety of formats such as JPEGs, PNGs, and others. The last option, which you have is the “Create thumbnail” link that you can click on if you want to create a larger version of your selected screenshot. If you have got your images in a suitable format, you can simply click on the “Upload to Clipboard” link which is close to the last link we had noted earlier.

As soon as you have saved your screenshots, you can now start editing them to make sure they look better. All you need to do is right click on any one of the images that is in the “snapshots” folder. You will then be asked to select “Save As” before you click “OK”. Make sure that you save all your other images as well as the ones you are going to use for this task.

Saving the screen shots in a specific location can be done by clicking on the “Share” button at the bottom of the screen. Clicking this will take you to a new page where you can click on the “save to” link. You will then be asked to name your new location before you click “click OK”. This will put a link on your computer which you can use to save your screen shots in the folder you specified. You will be asked to confirm where this new location is before the process begins.

There is a simple way to get a different color theme than the one you currently have installed. To do this, you need to go to the properties of the image that you want to change. Click on the tab” Appearance” and select” RGB Colors” in the drop down menu. This will replace the current default with the new color you have chosen.

You should also change the date stamp on the images you are saving. When you go to Properties, click on “Date” so that it opens the time and date stamp. You will then see a date that is before the current date, which means it is before the date you set in the Save tab. Change this to a newer date in order to have the screen shots you are taking appear older.

There are other options you can use in order to change the location in which your screen shots are saved. If you right click on an image and choose properties, you will find a drop down menu for the location where the screen shots will be stored. You can change this in the Location field. If you would rather change the name of the folder, you can click on the name and put a different name in this field. Changing these few options should make your screen shots take a whole lot more life and look much more attractive to the people you share them with.
