Bloomberg reports that the next iPhone will have Portrait Mode video recording and ProRes shooting capabilities. Mark Gurman, a Bloomberg reporter, claims that the next iPhone, which is not expected to be named the iPhone 13, will have better filters for improving images.
Gurman’s sources suggest that this phone will be a more evolutionary version of the iPhone 12. The model line-up, display sizes, and design language will likely remain the same. Only the chip (A15), and screen technology will change. Gurman stated that the FaceID cameras will have a smaller notch and the display will have faster refresh rates.
This is in line with a February leak by Max Weinbach, who claimed that the new handset would have a low-power 120Hz LTPO always-on display. As did analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, and Weinbach added that the handset would be able to shoot live video in Portrait Mode, too. These leaks are more or less in agreement with each other, which gives weight to what we will see over the next month.
