Florida man charged with attacking another man while he was on vacation at a Florida Hotel

James Lenn Williams of Port St. Lucie, was arrested Thursday and charged with battery by strangulation and aggravated battery.

Williams was staying at Oceans Edge Resort & Marina in Stock Island with two of his friends. The two were one man and two ladies. Williams was allegedly pushing one of the women in a maintenance barrel towards their hotel room. Williams began throwing beer at her and insulting her while pushing her.

Williams’ friend, a 28 year-old male, intervened and attempted to diffuse the situation. Williams began fighting with his friends and shoved the other woman to her knees. According to authorities, he then bit off a portion of the male victim’s ear.

The victim, aged 28, was taken to the local hospital for treatment.

A man from Florida was taken to the hospital after jumping into a jaguar pen in Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens.

“This was an individual who wasn’t using their head… WJXT was told by Dan Maloney, deputy director of the zoo. He said that he stuck his hand through the mesh that separates jaguars from outside. Maloney stated that the story would have been different if the animal had been able to grip the man better.

The incident did not cause any harm to the jaguar involved and authorities confirmed that the man was not trying to hurt the jaguar.

Joseph Guenther was killed in a boat accident that occurred May 31st. Officials from Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), stated that Guenther was driving erratically and was forced to be ejected into mangroves following the crash.

FWC stated in an email that it appeared that Guenther would have a mangrove placed on his head.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office made a radio call to Guenther, indicating that Guenther required life-saving measures once authorities arrived at the scene.

FWC stated that “MCSO last transmission was advising that he’s in full code.” Full code is when a person’s heart stops and all resuscitation techniques will be required to keep them alive.

A Florida ride operator was assaulted after pushing a woman of color who was trying to help her children from a Ferris Wheel.

The incident took place at Opa Locka Hialeah Flea Market Carnival and was posted on Twitter by an onlooker.
