The US will contribute half a billion doses of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine to lower-income nations around the world. The vaccine goes to 92 non – and reduced middle-income nations, in addition to the African Union, the White House said in a statement Thursday.

The remaining 300 million doses will be sent in the first half 2022, the announcement said.

The statement comes a week after the Biden government declared its strategies to contribute 80 million vaccine doses to other nations from the end of June.

In Pfizer’s press launch , the business said it will offer that the 500 million doses to the US government in a”non-profit cost ” The 500 million vaccine doses are a part of both Pfizer and BioNTech’s”vow to supply 2 billion doses of this COVID-19 vaccine to non and middle-income countries during the next 18 months,” the release stated.
