Salma Hayek softly broke the internet for this particular”throwback” Thursday photo, posting a seriously alluring”#tbt” snapshot to Instagram. I place”tbt” in quotes because I am honestly a bit skeptical: How can we know this really is a throwback if she seems exactly the same in the present moment? Regrettably. It is ideal to trust the hashtags, right?

The Oscar-nominated celebrity shared an idyllic image of her”younger” self posing at the (close ) nude, leaning atop a counter in what appears like a exquisitely elegant powder room. Hayek’s body is only partially covered by a lengthy swath of ivory fabric which falls to the ground, and she sensually stares right into the camera.

The fantastic old days. Le bon vieux temps #tbt,” she captioned the photo, insisting again — now in three distinct languages — that this photograph is “old.”

In any case, we’re always happy to see girls in their fifties — and sixties, and seventies and so on (!!!) — feeling confident in their skin. As we always saywe wish it was not out of the normal for women over 40 and 50 to boldly adore, and reveal, their beautiful bodies, but until it’s appropriately normalized — and subsequently appreciated — we’ll go out of our way to celebrate each whenever they do.

Hayek’s steamy”throwback” photograph is reminiscent of a few other over-50-icons, such as Helena Christensen, who introduced in lingerie earlier this week, and Brooke Shields, whose daughters inspired — and reminded her — that it’s good to”celebrate things like her buttocks” And, most importantly, that”women over 50 are not done.”
